Samurai belongs to Fakirpelvan line, he is inbred V x IV on the founder of this line, chestnut stallion 828 Fakirpelvan.

In 3o.-40. years of 20th century there was quite widespread Sluchai line in Teke population, which, lately, split up into two new lines through sons of stallion 629 Fakir Sulu, Gelishikli and Fakirpelvan.
828 Fakirpelvan was born in 1951 in Ashkabad Studfarm by above mentioned stallion Fakir Sulu, out of mare 647 Egoza (by 100 El). Fakirpelvan was inbred IV x III,V on stallion Bek Nazar Al. It was tall, well muscled stallion with good bones, with quite simple head. He raced succesfully at Ashkhabad racetrack (winner of "Vstupitelnyi Priz"), in 1969 he became the Champion of the Breed. He sired group of mares in his home studfarm and then was bought by V.P. Shamborant in 1959 for Tersk Studfarm. His offspring excelled not only at racetrack (Kaltaman, Opal, Elchan etc.), but also in classical sport ( Posman, Penteli, Chalif, etc.).

There is also inbreeding IV x IV on Absent´s son and recordman on 2000m, stallion Ametist in Samurai´s pedigree.

Samurai was sired by elite stallion 1228 Maksut 2, black, born in 1989 in Dagestanskii Studfarm. Maksut didn´t race, but was evaluated by sport qualities (7 points - 7,12 movement, 6,9 jumping abilities). He got Diploma of III. degree on championship in Pyatigorsk in 1996. He was used as a breeding sire in Akhalt-Service Studfarm for five years. Among his 17 desdcendants we can find 2001 World Champion among mares Omelia, 2002 World Reserve Champion among mares Olympia, Junior Reserve Champion among mares Omega, 4th placed mare in World Championship and full sister of Samurai Simfonia, Virtual World Junior Champion Stambul (whose mother Sikeya is full sister to Samurai´s mother Sakata), then breeding stallions Karakhan (placed 3rd and 5th on World Championships) and Mikhman.

Maksut is son of racetrack crack, black stallion 1083 Omar (raced 2-5 years on racetracks in Krasnodar and Makhakchkala, won 12 of 20 starts). Except such success he got twice Diploma of II.degree in championships (in 1984-5). Omar is inbred IIIxII on excellent mare and founder of own family, mare 1310 Ovgan (Lachin-Silfa). His pedigree has been built on combination of two branches (Fakirpelvan and Gelishikli) of old line Sluchai. Omar´s sire is recordman on 1800m, 910 Opal.

Maksut´s dam is 2014 Mushmula 3, born 1981 at studfarm "Dagestanskii". Mushmula is one of the best daughters of stallion 960 Mukhtar (Arab line). Mushmula didn´t race, she gave 12 foals, including 2820 Melana 1 (by 1083 Omar), who was very good at racetrack, same as in endurance competitions. Another Mushmula´s daughter is full sister to Melana, mare 2804 Marta 6, dam of succesful racehorse Mamai (by 1079 Melesur). We should also mention Mushmula´s son, Champion of the Breed Manas 6 (by 1095 Polot).

Samurai´s dam is elite mare Sakata, born 1993 at studfarm Akhalt-Servis. She is dam of 7 foals, she was evaluated 7,5 points for quality of offspring.
Her sire is stallion 1069 Kortik, born 1984 at studfarm Chagorta. Kortik was typical stallion of old Toporbai line. He raced from 2-4 years at racetracks in Krasnodar and Tbilisi. He placed 8 times from 14 starts. He was used in breeding since 1989, sired 31 foals. Three of his sons are used in breeding - 1227 Makat, Grandkuli and Mingam.

Sakata´s dam is chestnut mare 2450 Sayatkhanum 19, born 1985 at studfarm "Dagestanskii". Sayatkhanum raced as 2 and 3 years old at racetrack in Tbilisi, she was placed 7times in 12 starts.
Sayatkhanum´s sire is 985 Daghestan, buckskin, born 1976 at studfarm "Dagestanskii". Dagestan was excellent racehorse, he placed 17 times in 35 starts, including 6 wins. Among his offspring we can find breeding stallions 1038 Gaisan 7, 1194 Doremir 27, 1192 Dorkush, 1198 Enyshli, 1249 Osman and very good broodmares 2394 Millet 6 (mother of Murgab, Mangyt and Margaritka) and 2965 Fonema 13 (mother of 1292 Farid and Feisal).

From dam´s side Samurai belongs to the family founded by mare 398 Temmi (4 Ag Ishan-391 Taifa 53). To this family e.g. belongs the stallion 943 Arslan(by 697 Gelishikli) or mare 1408 Agava (dam of stallions Anchar and Aigytli).
